Spicy Garlic Sesame Chicken

Ingredients:

• 2 Lbs. Boneless, Skinless Chicken Thighs (or chicken breasts) 

• 2 Tbsp. Corn Starch 

• 1 Tsp. Salt 

• 1/2 Tsp. Black Pepper 

• 1 Tbsp. Ecotierra Organic Extra Virgin Sesame Oil 

• 1/4 Cup Chopped Green Onions

• Jasmine Rice


For the Sauce:

• 1/4 Cup Soy Sauce 

• 3 Tbsp. Fresh Ginger 

• 1 Tsp. Spicy Chili Paste 

• 5 Cloves Minced Garlic 

• 1 Tsp. Rice Wine Vinegar 

• 1 Tbsp. Brown Sugar or Coconut Sugar 

• 2 Tbsp. Ecotierra Organic Extra Virgin Sesame Oil 

• 1 Tsp. Toasted Sesame Seeds


Directions:

• Cut up chicken into bite size pieces. 

• Combine corn starch, salt, and pepper and then toss with chicken to coat lightly. 

• Heat 1 tablespoon of Ecotierra sesame oil in a large wok over medium high heat. 

• Add chicken and brown on each side for 5-6 minutes. 

• While chicken is cooking, make sauce by combining soy sauce, ginger, garlic, rice wine vinegar, sugar, and 2 tbsp. Ecotierra organic sesame oil and whisk to combine. 

• Add the sauce to the chicken and stir to coat thoroughly. 

• Reduce heat to a simmer and let the sauce thicken and chicken continue to cook for another 15-20 minutes. 

• Serve over jasmine rice and top with sesame seeds and green onions.
